Mainstreet Equity Corp. is a Canadian multi-family, mid-market property leader, offering rental properties in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Saskatoon, and Toronto. It understands that mid-market lots generally do not offer satisfactory customer service or provide for a quality living space. Mainstreet acquires these properties and modifies them in order to generate revenue and to attract an ideal group of tenants. Founded in 1998, Mainstreet has experienced immense growth over the years; from 272 units valued at $17 million, to over 5261 units worth $710 million.

Mid-market properties are a category of residential space, with less than 100 units and generally in poor condition- physically and in its management. Because of its ill condition, these locations often attract tenants of weak financial status, ultimately causing problems for property management. Mainstreet finances mid-market property renovations to flooring, lighting, energy, and overall appearance. The result is a pool of reliable tenants and higher revenues for management.

Mainstreet Equity Corp. has been listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange since May 31, 2000. The company’s success rose to a $710 million appraisal in the fiscal year  2007.
